Bequests

One important way in which individuals can maximise their support is by providing a legacy. Such a gift will perpetuate your commitment to the memory of Charles and English literature and will help assure that the riches of The Charles Dickens Museum will be there for future generations to enjoy.
A clause that your solicitor would include might read as follows:

"I GIVE to the Charity known as The Charles Dickens Museum in London (registered Charity number 1025393) the sum of (£ ) AND I DECLARE that the receipt in writing of the Treasurer or other proper officer of that Charity shall be sufficient discharage to my Executors".

You may wish to talk to the Secretary of Trustees in this confidential matter, and the staff at the Charles Dickens Museum will be more than happy to guide you in the right direction.
